When most of the country heads of world are trying to crush ISIS in its current form and trying all their might to stop it’s people even to talk about ISIS and then you see youth fluttering and waving flags of ISIS in one of the most militarised state of world, yes I am talking about Kashmir, then what would one perceive ?

I would term it as infatuation. Yes, haven’t you seen good looking girls falling for bad guys ? Well if you haven’t then you are lying and if yes then you can well understand where i am pointing.

The frustrated and disgusted youth of Kashmir are not waving ISIS flags to welcome one of the most dreadest militant organisation currently present in world but they are showing their rebellious nature. Hang on, don’t form an opinion yet. To understand the mind of kashmiris, you will have to be in Kashmir and become a Kashmiri for few days.

Wait, I am not justifying act of some idiots neither I intend to but certainly I want you to know why these simple and ambitious kids have turned into idiots that they are ready to hold anyone’s hand if they are not taken care off.

A Kashmir of today is no better than Kashmir of 20-30 years back. What has changed are ambitions, dreams, desires and expectations of people and youth in particular in this technological era. If you will visit Kashmir, you would see young kids flaunting there Smartphones, Branded Clothes and yes branded Cars. They are no different from youth of any other state.But the line which divides them from rest are lack of opportunities, lack of infrastructure, lack of governance, lack of healing touch from government, lack of love from rest of country and open hands to embrace them.

I am not trying to get too much into depth, though I would love to but want you all to understand with sane head that your child don’t rebel if you love them and care for them.

A true Kashmiri knows very well that beheading of innocent people, keeping slaves for sex, harvesting people for organs are not humane. No muslim will standby these ruthless and senseless killers of humanity. Parents be it in any part of the world will never even dream to see their son chopping head of another human.

You must be thinking then why these youths are waving flags of ISIS ?

I will give you another twist, have you seen any unmasked youth waving these ISIS flags in India ? NO, neither they will ever think of holding ISIS flags and calling themselves a true devout of ISLAM, atleast not in part of country i live and i have seen. Few say the youths are being funded to wave flags, while some say they supporting ISIS. But I am saying they showing their anger to government. Think once logically, if youths are really supporting ISIS then they don’t need to wave flags on top of building.

It’s high time now that Government, Civil Society and all the stakeholders of Kashmir should sit down and start thinking in a pragmatic way how to fulfill dreams of young kashmiris. They need to find a way where children get good schooling. people get basic amenities so that they can improve their living standard and employment for youth.

A young Kashmiri would prefer working for 10 hours and then go back home to have dinner with family than holding guns and killing people just to show hatred. The sooner government and people realise this the easier it would be to see Kesar blooming in Kashmir and happy, cheerful, peaceful Kashmir.

Don’t let this infatuation to turn into love. Feel their pain and give them healing touch.
