Sounds weird, isn’t it ??? Well, this is what happens with people who are too eager to just jump into the flight and visit a new country. The reasons can me many ranging from studies, travel, immigration, and asylum or on official project. The mistakes which most of us do is that we check all the good aspects, we try to find and search about that myth and picture which was formed because movies or other form of marketing and travel advertisements.
In this post, I will be focusing more from a point of view of a student and people leaving their country for work. It’s a proven proverb that ” Grass on the other side of the river looks greener.” Believe it or not, no country is and can be better than your own home country. People build so many dreams, they set their ambitions so high and they start working so hard to chase their dream that they start getting closer to that illusion of foreign country to fulfill the dreams. I bet most of the people who dream so high don’t even know the realities of the countries they want to visit. They get so engrossed in packing their bags and arranging the finance that they take either for granted or they miss out the most important part of finding the grund realities. It happens with all of us. We put everything on stake, the moment we get any hope of fulfilling our dreams. It’s not a mistake but our human behavior.

The student life is considered to be toughest life in any country (excluding home country). You are all alone, managing your finances, your studies, enormous burden of assignment and then on a weekly basis the tensions and problems from your peers. If you sum everything and then see the picture then its like you doing everything minus studies. The reason i have subtracted studies is because the amount of time and importance one gives to studies is almost negligible. Here i have taken and considred the case of those people only who are too eager to move to foreign country for higher studies seeking for bright future. I firmly believe that definition of bright future starts from ears and eyes and it ends with them only. The day you will understand the concept of bright future from mind you will stop running around here and there. The only difference between successful person and a life time struggler is the belief and the amount of time utilized on critical thinking and analysis. As per my understanding, the definition of success is one of the highly debatable topics. It is different for different people. The reason I am trying to explain this part is, because this is the thought which forces us to set up goals and thrive to achieve them. So the first and important part is to understand and anlayse the thoughts which we are making us dream higher.
Let’s get back to the main topic. While choosing the country you want to visit, below are the given points you need to plan and anlayse about:
1. How much finance is required for tickets (to & fro), per day living expense which includes room rents, transportation, food and basic necessities.
2. Any close relative or reliable friend from whom you can get accurate and clear information.
3. The culture of country which includes foods and living styles.
4. How safe is country for immigrants ?
5. In case of emergency who will help you, it could be both financial crisis and health issues.
6. The family backup in case you return back before time.
7. The current family background and financial status and whether you will be able to sustain the losses incurred if any.
8. The local students of the college/school you will be taking admission in.
9. The validity and eligibility of the course you will be doing and its relevance in home country.
10. The part time job options available and will you be able to do them or not.
11. Right accommodation
12. Any legal issues if any
13. The visa norms and are the fixed for few years or they are changing from time to time
14. The employment rate and the job market
15. The economy of the country you visiting
13. The reputation of college/school you wish to take admission and its credibility

These are some of the questions which are really important. Being an international student, I now understand what mistake I did and what mistakes most of the students do when they plan their visit. Though many of us do plan out but they miss certain aspects which are equally important and play a major role while deciding the future stay.
